Ljubljana

Ljubljana is a city with a green soul. If we had to describe it in a few words, we would say it is green, safe, friendly, and clean. It is characterized by a high level of environmental awareness and has implemented numerous measures addressing various aspects of sustainable development, including green mobility, waste management, and sustainable urban planning. With its green image and focus on sustainable development, the city offers excellent opportunities for sustainable tourism. By introducing circular economy practices, Ljubljana aims to reduce its carbon footprint, CO₂ emissions, and other greenhouse gases, thereby helping to reduce pollution on our planet.

Did you know? Ljubljana boasts the highest rate of household waste separation in the European Union (69.5% in 2020). Waste containers in the city center are installed underground.

Center Rog

Center Rog is a contemporary, multifaceted hub of creativity, where ideas flow through bright spaces, open galleries, and work corners that encourage collaboration and inspiration. The space stretches between industrial heritage and modern design, creating a unique environment where past and future meet with every step. Here, visitors can easily lose themselves in the rhythm of materials, lines, and movement – all connected by an openness to new approaches and content.

Located by the city river, just a few minutes’ walk from the heart of urban life, it simultaneously offers a sense of calm and spaciousness. The location combines creative studios, exhibition areas, and functional shared spaces that provide the ideal setting for events, gatherings, and inspiring experiences. Center Rog is not just a place – it is an event in itself.

We recommend that you get to the site as sustainably as possible.

  • By bike or on foot - the best choice for those coming from Ljubljana. The city's bicycle rental system Bicikelj  has stations near the Center Rog (the closest stations are Ambrožev trg and Ilirska ulica) and several racks for your own bicycle.
  • By public bus - the nearest bus stop is at Ambrožev trg, which is served by LPP lines 2, 5, 13 and 20.
  • By train - for participants coming from other places, we recommend arriving by train to Ljubljana railway station, from where the Center Rog can be reached within a 15-minute walk or a few minutes by bicycle, scooter or bus.
  • By car - if arriving by private car, we advise a carpool (e.g. prevoz.org) and use the Park & Ride system (e.g. Dolgi Most, Stožice or Barje) and continue your journey by public transport or bicycle.

Planet Positive Event

The conference will be organised in accordance with the principles of sustainable event organisation. We recognise that this is how we can contribute to a greener future, reduce our negative impact on the environment, create a more sustainable society and a better future. With the help of the tool "Planet Positive Event" we will measure the carbon footprint of the event and obtain a sustainability certificate.

Our key sustainability objectives are:

-Promoting sustainable mobility - we encourage environmentally friendly modes of transport.
-Waste reduction and responsible management - we reduce waste, optimise segregation and use recycled and returnable packaging
-Digitalisation and reduction of resource consumption - communication and promotion are predominantly digital, reducing paper and energy consumption
-Energy efficiency - we optimise energy consumption at the event and use energy-saving equipment and venues
-Sustainable food and beverage choices - we use locally, seasonally and organically produced food and plan our offer to reduce food waste
-Measuring and improving our environmental footprint - we will measure the carbon footprint of the event and work to make improvements at the following events
